But if no one captures the moments and the memories every once in a while…

I was watching a video today, it was a group of people singing and dancing and enjoying the vibe and the company they were in.

There were some phones out and visible in the video, and obviously someone was recording the video I watched… but I would say a good 80% of this large group had no device and was in the moment.

I’ve always felt a little shame around having my camera or phone out to take photos or record when in public places or around large groups of people (which let me tell you is hard for someone who’s profession and career is to take photos)

Sooooo many people come at you with “enjoy the moment; be present…” yada yada

But here’s the things I’m realizing.

That is me being present.

That is me building and creating and sharing a legacy of my present moment.

A legacy of the life I’m living; the life I’ve lived, with little moments in time.

A legacy of printable memories that can be shared far and wide.

Someone has to capture it. Because someone will want to remember it. Someone will find joy in it. Someone will remember the story it tells.

But if no one captures the moments and the memories every once in a while…

Will they be remembered?
